Veal Saltimbocca: Salvatore’s Restaurant (Andover, MA)
I enjoyed this delicious dish at Salvatore’s Restaurant in downtown Andover, MA, an awesome full service Italian restaurant and bar. You may have heard of Sal’s Pizza before! Sal Lupoli started the Salvatore restaurant’s as well as the highly known Sal’s Pizza locations. The pizza at Sal’s is great with numerous toppings!
At this time there are five different Salvatore’s Restaurant locations, The Boston Seaport, Andover, Lawrence, Theater District and Medford Square. They are all primary spots! This entree here is the Veal Saltimbocca. Saltimbocca is a dish made up of Veal topped with Prosciutto, White Wine and Sage or Basil. What made this so tasty was all that combined with melted provolone cheese on top of the chef’s special potato’s! A melt in your mouth entrée!
Though Saltimbocca is traditionally a dish with veal, it is just as delicious to enjoy the flavors of Prosciutto, Sage, White Wine and melted cheese all on top of chicken instead! Order whichever you prefer. I would say most restaurants that offer a Saltimbocca dish will give you the option of either one! Find this dish under the “entrée” section of the Salvatore’s dinner menu among many other amazing things I am hoping to go back and try soon!
