Mini Reese’s Chocolate Christmas Trees:
Even though Christmas is over, I still could not resist sharing this with you! I was so excited to make these mini trees for Christmas this year. Too Cute! Yes, I did also bring the big Chocolate Brownie Trifle to our Christmas get together, but I still couldn’t say no to these. They are intense to eat one yourself, but a great add on decoration to any dessert table!
Each one made up of two mini Reese’s Cups, one large Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, a Hershey Kiss, frosting and decorative sprinkles! Wow! Not too tough to put together, my mother and I had fun with this. We ended up using white vanilla frosting as the surrounding and using Christmas colored sprinkles all over!
Any sort of Frosting will work as a paste to hold all the pieces together so use up whatever is in your house! Turn a small Reese’s Cup upside down, layer it with a large one, another small one and top it with a kiss! Easy, easy!! The hardest part for us was transporting the little trees to our friend’s house! We were able to find a small box for them and I held them in the car to be on the safe side!
I will definitely make these again next year! What a hit and the cutest little dessert add on for a Christmas decoration! Experiment with frosting colors and different types of décor and sprinkles and most importantly, have fun with it!! Love the holiday season, why does it have to come to an end so quickly? Any excuse to experiment with appetizers and desserts is the best!
