Chocolate Trifle with a Crushed Oreo Topping:
Can you say amazing? This dessert is so delicious! Layers upon layers! Chocolate Pudding? Sprinkled crushed Oreos? Cool Whip? Brownies? YES! Great for both kids and adults!
Have an event or holiday party you need a dessert for all to enjoy? It’s perfect! Not hard to make. You make this in steps where you make each layer separately and layer it up. A batch of chocolate brownies cut into cubes, chocolate pudding as the next, cool whip and repeat! I decided to add crushed Oreos on top of the trifle to give it a little crunch and decoration. The top layer, though, is open to anything! Maybe candy, Reeses? Anything fun and colorful!
Definitely a rich, chocolate dessert, though the cool whip does help to add a little lighter flavor and make it a bit less chocolate intense. Serving it with a large long spoon is the best way to make it possible to scoop up all the layers and experience each one together in one bite! My family and friends enjoyed this together on Christmas Eve night as our main dessert. We were already so full from great appetizers and a main entree but were so excited to try this trifle! It did not let us down! We also had leftovers the next few days. 🙂
